The non-profit association „CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN INFORMATICS AND INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES“ is an organisation for scientific research and knowledge dissemination.
Main objectives of the Association are:
- Encouraging and supporting independent fundamental scientific research, industrial research or experimental development, as well as disseminating the results of these activities through training and knowledge transfer;
- Improving the research environment, enhancing the qualifications and expertise of scientists and researchers, and improving the quality of scientific developments and the market realisation of their results;
- Improving the efficiency of the institutional environment at national, regional and local level.
The means by which the Association will achieve its objectives include:
- Establishing partnerships with state, regional and local institutions, as well as with Bulgarian and foreign non-governmental organisations working in the fields of education, science and innovation;
- Participation in national, cross-border, transnational, European and international programmes and projects related to the objectives of the Association;
- Organising seminars, conferences and other forums with the participation of leading scientists, researchers and specialists in informatics and information and communication technologies at national and international level;
- Promoting the activities of the Association among stakeholders and the public through publications in mass media, journals, bulletins, brochures, conference materials and other public events;
- Carrying out other activities supporting the achievement of the Association's objectives that do not contradict national legislation.
